Good Softball Cheer Photo Shoot Album (selected photos from the photo shoot)
A little bit overcast, but otherwise June 10,
2007 was a fantastic day for the book photo
shoot. Michele was in Japan playing pro
softball, so Lawrence was in charge of
coordinating the photo shoot. Special thanks
to Carlos Mercado for his great work behind
the lens, and to the Parks and Recreation
Department of the Town of Fairfield for
providing excellent field conditions! Special
thanks also to the coaches and athlete
members of the Good Softball Cheer
Demonstration Team!

Teamwork takes place
both on and off the
field. Fairfield Ludlowe
High School softball
coaches Kathryn
Klaassens, Debra
Delahunt and Laura
Bravyak team up after
a game to recap and
discuss strategy. Note
their serious but calm
demeanor – you can’t
tell from the picture if
the Falcons just won or
lost. Good teammates
always act in a
professional and
courteous manner.

Jennifer Hsieh (above) practices the Rocker Pivot. Jenn just
caught the ball thrown from the left side of the field while
stepping on the 2nd base bag with her glove side foot (one
out). Now she’s starting to push off the bag with her glove
side foot while starting to turn her head to look at 1st base.
She’ll then land with her other foot on the right field side off
the bag and throw to 1st base (two outs). It doesn't matter if
your game is math, music or sports, there's always
something fun and exciting to learn to take your game to the
next level!
Good Softball Cheer Demonstration Team members Sarah Ryan
(far left) and Kelly Caione (left) at batting practice. Great hitting is
equal parts proper mechanics and confidence. See how Sarah
and Kelly project confidence with positive body language.
Good Softball Cheer
Demonstration Team member
Maggie Lapolla (left) takes charge
behind the plate. As the only
player to see all the action on the
field, Maggie has the unique
opportunity to be able to make a
difference in every play of the
game!
Good Softball Cheer Demonstration Team
member Alexandra Zadravec (above) has a lot
to be happy about. Alex belted a couple of
homers to lead her team to the local league
championship and a third place finish in a travel
ball tournament. Alex is also a champion rower!
Good Softball Cheer Demonstration
Team member Shannon Squier
(right) first hustles into position and
then makes the catch in deep center
field. Shannon shows good form by
using "two hands" to catch the ball.
Shannon works hard every day to
make her softball skills better today
than they were yesterday. This is the
essence of Proactive Practice.
Good Softball Cheer
Demonstration Team member
Michelle Treglia (left) shows
proper form, about to catch the
ball glove fingers up with “two
hands”. You do play like you
practice, so Michelle's future in
softball looks bright!
Good Softball Cheer
Demonstration Team member
and pitching ace Heather
VanDerheyden (right) practices
leg bounds. At the higher levels,
great softball training includes
lots of conditioning and strength
training. All movements in
softball are fast and explosive!
After an intrasquad scrimmage (left) and team huddle
(below), the team enjoys a pizza break (above)!
